Have you ever gotten an e-mail like this?
"Hey, team.  I just wanted to let you know.  There's been a plague going around in Europe.  Apparently rats have come out of the waste systems and biting people and giving them the Bubonic plague.  Management has informed us that it might be a good idea to clean up the sewage the best you can and try to eat lots of moldy bread if you're bitten.  Thanks!"
And the e-mail is dated yesterday.
Okay, so that's an exaggeration, but not really.  For reasons unknown, you often get e-mails that are way past their time of usefulness.
"Hello, team.  You know that sale that's going on?  Well, we finally fixed the error with the promotion codes."  And the sale has been over for two days already.
Or how about this one?
"If any customer asks about the zipper on the jacket, tell them the picture is innacurate."  And the jacket is now out of stock.
The next logical step is to warn people that the Tower of Siloam is unstable and you should get out of there as soon as possible.  Or maybe that that new German socialist party with the red armbands might not be such a good idea.
